Diphlu River Lodge in kaziranga National forest. It's a hundred percent forest resort location of the resort is awesome just a bank of Diphlu River and other side of the river The world famous Kaziranga. We enjoyed our 4 night stay 23 dec to 26th watching the river and migrated birds from the lodge. The room ( cottage) felt like a tree house a huge room and a nice and Cozi bathroom with all the bathroom amenities. The entire lodge area with a lot of space full of trees, paddy fields open space, The housekeeping was an awesome service They cleaned the room twice a day, and most importantly awesome food and very polite and well behaved staff. They always have a smile on their face and greet you full heartedly. Mr. Bijoy Baruah, Manager of the lodge he is a very good hearted Gentleman he personally takes care of all the guests. His team always made sure that we were getting everything before we asked.a surprise for me and my family after a full day safari. When I came to bed for sleep I found a hot bag under the blankets.I did not ask for that. But it was the obias things I pleased in a winter. All the staff members were very polite. We had 5 jungle safaris in 4 days they organised one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Everything was well planned and they provided blankets and hot drinking water in the car ( Jeep non covered car for jungle safaris) And Naturelist as well we are lucky to have a first female Naturelist in Kaziranga her name Naina a young lady with full of effort to spoting birds and animal. She spotted and describes lots of birds and details about them. And help to catch proper photograph as well. We have seen a tiger in Central range . The food quality of the lodge was very good they have plenty of options in breakfast. During our stay they organised a river side Assamese traditional lunch. It was spectacular we enjoyed it a lot. The entire stay was very beautiful in all aspects. I'll definitely come again. Thanks to Mr Barua and the entire team of Diphlu River Lodge for presenting a memorable holiday for me and my family. I wish all of you good health 🙏

I added this excursion to a longer birding itinerary. I stayed 3 nights at the lodge to begin my trip in India. Given the amount of time it takes to get here, three nights is really ideal. My room was huge, comfortable, and had many snacks and teas. The bathroom shower was really nice. And everything was cleaned and restocked each day. Each evening there was a gathering with music, drinks (tea, coffee), and light snacks. The food was really great, in preparation, quality, and quantity. Always European options, yes, but also local selection at each meal. Desserts were especially fun. You can get both the European and local options if you're just curious enough to try everything. Breakfast was mainly a buffet with eggs prepared however you liked. Very nice rotating selection throughout my stay. My stay included several safari drives in a jeep (I was solo, so just me, my guide, and the driver). The safari drives focused on birds and rhinos, and they were really great experiences. Especially the rhinos, which are a great conservation success. My guide was a local birding expert and really ensured the experience was great for birding and wildlife observation. While there, the owner's daughter had several conversations with me about local developments and politics. She was very nice, and it was wonderful to have company at meals or evening tea to break up my solo monotony. This ecolodge was a highlight of this area. Not many other lodge options near this National Park can compare in atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to anyone heading to Kaziranga National Park.

It won't be an exaggeration that our trip to Kaziranga wouldn't have been half as good without the amazing staff and facilities of Diphlu River Lodge. Pros: 1. End to end experience was well designed from room to food. Nice spread of Assamese and Continental food to cater to variety of guests 2. No hassle with permits, entry tickets etc. The team has all covered and sorted for you. 3. Very attentive and polite staff, they go the extra mile to plan the next day in the most enjoyable manner for you. They will be forthcoming with suggestions but flexible too, but won't be too pushy either. 4. Turn down service was excellent Cons: 1. It took us a while to figure out their exact location as there was no signboard at the entrance 2. Nothing else!! Special thanks to Hrishi for being an amazing naturalist, guide and support throughout our stay.

One of the most amazing stays ever... It's a private property, so very well maintained... The ambience tops the score with serenity, peace and greenery all around. Local Assamese cultural program in the evening is a bliss to enjoy in the moonlight!

This property is another hidden gem located right by the banks of the river. They’re a very niche hotel with just about 12 rooms located here & Prince William & Kate Middleton also stayed here during their visit to India, understandably so. The vibe here is just perfect if you’re into nature, the sounds of birds & other wildlife are all you can hear when you step out of your rooms. Another interesting fact about the property is that they grow most of the produce themselves & cook it at the restaurant which overlooks the river. Food & staff were both amazing. We managed to go for a wildlife safari which the hotel arranged in Zone 4 & we saw a lot of wild rhinos around. They do also have a small spa with 2 rooms which I experienced. The services were very good here too. All in all, an absolute must visit if you’re a nature lover. Just make sure to visit the property during the summer, as they do close during the monsoon season as the river beside the property swells & floods up.

We stayed four nights here and visited all four parks during our stay. Staff were great and food was delicious. We saw loads of wildlife in the parks - even a tiger- but even at the lodge there was always some interesting bird or animal to spot. Rooms were great
